My Room

My bedroom.  That’s where I spend LOTS of time.  Doing school.  No, I don’t do it in my pajamas!

This year, I’m taking a humanities course:  History, Bible, Literature.  We started with Ancient Egypt and we’re moving through time.  Gilgamesh was cool.  Loved C. S. Lewis’ Till We Have Faces and now I’m plowing through Homer’s Odyssey.  I’m also reading all of the Chronicles of Narnia books.  It’s been awhile, so I don’t mind rereading them.

Who knew I would like science so much?  Maybe I’ll become a scientist since I totally loved Biology last year and Chemistry this year, albeit difficult!, is very interesting.

Or maybe I’ll be a musician after all I spend 4+ hours a week at music school with theory, choir, band and saxophone classes.  I enjoy teaching myself the piano at home and playing at church on Sundays.  Trying to learn the guitar too.  Poco a poco.

I could always be a Latin teacher.  Salvete Amicis Latinae!  We’ve followed a classical educational philosophy so I’m in my third year of Latin.    amō amās amat amā́mus amā́tis amant.  Don’t get me started reciting all of the other forms!

Math.  Probably won’t be a math teacher.  Actually I don’t mind it, and I “get” it; it’s just not my passion.  I usually teach myself math using a DVD but this year I am taking Algebra II via a live online class.  Thankfully!

Enfin, au revoir.  Yes, trying to become tri-lingual.  I already speak Spanish so I’m trying to learn some FrenchÇa va bien!  Gotta love that Rosetta Stone!
